Introduction

  • How can good decision-making in public organizations be analyzed?
  • What is the best way to improve the efficiency of an institution?
  • Who are the true clients of the public sector and what are their needs?
  • What are the key factors in analyzing, defining and implementing strategy in public management?

Society is becoming increasingly aware of the need for the public sector to contribute to competitiveness in the economy. Globalization and the increasing complexity of financial and business decisions demand improved professional management of public resources.

In all Public Administrations, senior members take on the leadership of processes of significant change, and require strict training to consolidate knowledge and be able to develop their management skills. Leaders of public organizations and political leaders need to direct and motivate their teams, develop a strategic culture and implement a management model that gives structure to a well-defined policy .

IESE Business School, with the help of the Fundación Rafael del Pino, has designed a specific collaboration program to meet the real needs of public service leaders.
