Building and Leading High-Performance Teams

Barcelona, April 4-6, 2017

The operations of a high-performance team (HPT) and keys to success

Study the qualities required by members of an HPT, the stages that must be designed for proper development of the HPT, the essential processes so that each of these stages can be mastered and how to build team commitment to achieve outstanding results.

Address the increasing diversity in teams, which is of particular relevance to virtual teams, especially when team members reflect different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Learn how to resolve the sources of tension and conflict that often arise from misunderstandings. Gain access to relevant training, tools and frameworks that help identify and decipher the diversity inherent in teams in order to tap into innovation and talent pools and harness the team’s full potential.

Skills for developing a management team

Work on your personal development as a team leader with very practical and useful methodologies such as case studies and specially designed exercises that give rise to a very rich learning environment. We will have some role-playing dynamics that will help you improve your skills during the Program, and you will have a Personal Coach that will help you develop an Action Plan to excel as a Team Leader. You will also discover new skills to confront the unique challenges associated with virtual teams and develop specific strategies to foster a climate of efficient collaboration.

Building trust

A team’s success is highly dependent on the level of trust developed. Levels of trust can be directly associated with increased motivation, unity, loyalty and efficiency within the team. Teams benefit from face-to-face interaction, which enhances trust and therefore offers clear advantages. Learn how to employ mechanisms for teams that create the right environment for trust to flourish and obtain the required results.

Fostering effective communication

Acquire the skills you need to create effective communication across geographic, time, cultural and linguistic barriers. Address the team’s needs at both the team and individual level. Learn how to promote open and collaborative group discussions and capture the unique and innovative ideas that emerge. Discover which levers can be used to enable efficient collaboration and motivate team members.

Leading teams in times of crisis

Look at all the variables that can help improve the performance of a team and learn how to manage in times of uncertainty: more communication, better coordination and increased understanding of how to face the various challenges and conflicts that continuously arise.

Team diagnosis

Study tools and methods for effective team assessment that enable you to identify the key problem areas and design a specific improvement plan to address them with the help of a Coach that you will have personally assigned during the Program.

We apply very dynamic, practical methods that will allow you to enhance your knowledge, analysis and skills.

You will be able to put into practice what you have learned from day one with the additional support of specifically designed tools:

• Case Studies

• Group Dynamics

• Individual Coaching with a Professional Coach

• Team Executive Challenge with a “peer to peer” Coaching

• Role-Play

• Learning experience of a “hands-on” Team Dynamics (outside Campus)

Prior to the start of the program, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to help you discover your personality type. Please complete this test prior to arriving for the program. The results of this test are completely confidential and will be handed back to you in class. They will provide the basis for you to work on developing your team skills with the help of a Professional Coach assigned to you during the Program.

You will also be sent study materials, such as readings and cases, which you will have to read and analyze before the program begins.
