"la Caixa" Chair of Corporate Social Responsability and Corporate Governance
Introduction
The "La Caixa" Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance was created as a result of the collaboration agreement signed in November 2005 between “la Caixa” and IESE. The presentation ceremony was held on March 1, 2006 at the "la Caixa" headquarters in Barcelona, and on March 22, 2006 in Madrid.
The holder of the Chair is Prof. Antonio Argandoña, Professor of Economics and Business Ethics.
Mission
The "La Caixa" Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance shares the same commitment as “la Caixa” and IESE of fomenting, promoting and disseminating new knowledge about corporate social responsibility in an academic context and as applied to business administration and the training of managers and entrepreneurs.
Based on the values defended by the "la Caixa" Foundation, the Chair provides IESE with a tool for monitoring its mission of generating new knowledge through research and of disseminating and applying it for the training of managers as a service to companies and society.
