Holder of the Chair

Prof. Pascual Berrone is the holder of the Schneider Electric, Sustainability and Business Strategy Chair. Throughout his academic career, Prof. Berrone has developed and contributed to the field of Sustainable Strategic Management. The central theme of his work is the understanding of the impact of sustainability strategies and what conditions are needed to secure their effectiveness. His studies have been published in the most prestigious business journals and received several research awards. He has participated in several projects financed by external parties and has extensive experience in leading research groups. He has presented his work in seminar series at world-famous institutions, both in Europe and North America, such as his participation in the United Nations-Global Compact as a keynote speaker. 

Prof. Berrone is vice-president of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management and the Academic Director of the "Cities in Motion” platform. He is the founder of the Madrid Strategy Group and serves as Associate Editor for two academic journals: “Organization & Environment” and “Family Business Review”
