Recent and current initiatives:
February 2014: SESI Platform supports Addiopizzo Travel: Addiopizzo Travel is a social enterprise that works as tour operator in Sicily. It has two main objectives: fighting Sicilia Mafia and creating new jobs in an area that is dramatically plagued by unemployment. On March 2014, an IESE second-year MBA student and a research fellow of the SESI Platform have started collaborating with Addiopizzo Travel.
January 2014: SESI Platform supports with Disismore: Disimore is a professional network that seeks to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In February 2014, two research fellows from the SESI Platform have started collaborating with Disismore.
February 2014: First joint MBA-EMBA course: In February 2014, IESE started the first joint MBA-EMBA module on Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship
February 2014: Invited lecture: Francesca Vannini Parenti, from Addiopizzo Travel, delivers the speech “Fighting Mafia through Social Entrepreneurship” at IESE Business School on Friday, February 28.
February 2014: Invited lecture: Matteo Tarchi, Head of Green Business Development of GDF-Suez, delivered the speech “New Opportunities for Social Entrepreneurs in the Green-Energy Sector” at IESE Business School on Friday, February 14.
January 2014: The SESI Platform, in collaboration with the ETH Chair of Technology and Innovation Management, is glad to announce the workshop on “Ethics, Technology and Organizational Innovation” that will take place in January 2014 (7th – 8th) in Zurich (WEV building, room F109-111).
September 2013: Tommaso Ramus, research fellow of the SESI Platform, is appointed full-time professor and Executive Director of the Center for Business Ethics at the Catolica-Lisbon (Top FT 25 in Europe).
April 2013: The first MBA course about “Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship in Africa” is delivered in Nairobi by Prof. Antonino Vaccaro.
