About us

The sports world has gained extraordinary prominence in recent decades, both financially and in terms of its impact in the media and on society in general. As a result, the level of achievement and success required from sports professionals is increasingly high, leading to a growing need for sports management teams to become more professional.

In a highly competitive sector that experiences change at an increasing speed, managers must not only be flexible enough to adapt to these changes, but also possess the vision to anticipate future trends.

As the sports industry continues to evolve globally, the academic field of sports management will evolve as well in order to prepare the future leaders of the industry.

IESE takes its step towards the specialization of research and teaching of sports business management, thus creating an environment where issues that specifically relate to sports businesses, institutions and organizations can be discussed with the rigor and professionalism that they deserve.

CSBM is a research center of IESE Business School, founded as an international reference center for knowledge production and educational initiatives related to sports business management.

The aims of the Center for Sport Business Management are to research and teach, from an international perspective, the new challenges confronting professionals working in management of sports companies and organizations.
