Alumni FAQs

  • Do you need a certificate or a copy of your degree?

A program certificate verifies attendance in the program. In the case of the MBA, this can be issued with grades. The digitally signed certificate is issued within 2-3 working days or 4-5 business days for original signatures.

The duplicate diploma is delivered within 3 weeks and costs 150 euros (not including shipping costs). It is exactly like the one you were given at the time of graduation with the indication that it is a duplicate.

  • Do you need to validate the signature of the Secretary of IESE or authenticate the certificate?

The notary appointed to authenticate the signature of the Secretary General of IESE (who signs the program certificates), which can also authenticate the document, is:

If needed for the purpose of a student loan, you will need:

    2. Original or certified photocopy of the Master's/Ph.D. degree. Or the original or certified photocopy of the receipt of payment for the conferral of the degree.

You need to indicate this in the comments section of the request form and a full academic certification will be issued.

  • Is my MBA official? What do I have to do to make it official?

The degree from the IESE MBA program is an official, proprietary degree.

Since 2006, the MBA program has been an official postgraduate program in business administration, conferring the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA), recognized and published in Spain's Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado) number 157 (page 25,010, second column) from July 3, 2006.

All Alumni who have earned the title since May 2008 have the option to make their degree official, which is often required for pursuing further studies, such as for a doctorate, or for degree validation. This option may require the alumnus to complete new coursework.

  • What steps do I need to take for my MBA to be official?

Indicate it in the request and follow this procedure:

    1. Fill out the form.
    2. Attach a photocopy of your ID or passport.
    3. Attach certificate of previous studies.
    4. Attach copy of undergraduate degree.
    5. Send a wire transfer in the amount of 330 euros.

After completing these steps, your file will be completed in the University of Navarra system and a receipt of payment will be issued for the conferral of the degree, which is equivalent to the official diploma (for the purposes of the legislation in force, on a provisional basis, it has the same validity as the degree until the degree is issued in the time frame of a year and a half).
