IESE's Global Executive MBA program is broken up into several modules, which are spread over a 16 or 22 month period. Each module contains a blend of on-and-off campus learning, with Residential Sessions on location alternated with home-based learning via the Global Campus web platform. This balanced structure ensures minimal disruption to your professional life, without sacrificing the sense of community and support of a fully residential MBA. No matter which program format you choose, they both contain the following key features:

Pre-Module


Because our participants come from diverse backgrounds, they have varying skill-levels in different subjects. The Pre-Module is designed to give participants time to grasp fundamental principles before they attend Residential Sessions. This is done with the flexibility of their own schedule through individual study, using CDs, books, articles and cases provided.

Residential Sessions


Face-to-face interaction and learning is maximized during Residential Sessions, which are conducted in Barcelona, Madrid, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, New York or India. During these sessions, teamwork, case study discussions, lectures and workshops are conducted. Company visits, guest speakers and networking events enhance the experience.

Distributed Learning


During the home-based portion of the program, the Global Campus allows students in different time zones to analyze cases with classmates, engage in discussions with professors and maintain collaborative study. The technology platform allows students to apply the knowledge learned during the Residential Sessions and stay connected between modules. Exams are also conducted during this time. Because participants are based around the world and have different professional commitments, you will never be required to be online at a specific time. All work during this period is asynchronous.
