Global Venues

The locations for the residential modules in Europe, North America and Asia have been selected to extend the program's international view. You will spend two-week periods in each of the following locations:

  • Madrid 
  • Barcelona 
  • Shanghai
  • Silicon Valley 
  • India
  • New York City

In each location, you will interact with key figures in diverse industries; learn how management theories and practices play out in different business environments; and gain concrete insights into how you can apply new ideas to your work at home. The residential modules also give you valuable opportunities to network with your international peers.

Madrid

Madrid is Spain's political and economic capital, and is home to another IESE campus. During this residential module, you will be immersed in the vibrant juxtaposition of Spain's rich past and the thriving, high-tech present. Home to businesses of every sector and attracting the best and brightest business leaders from the world over, Madrid demonstrates the exciting, fast-paced business development that comes from true cross-cultural exchange. You will learn from top business leaders as well as your peers and gain a broad perspective of how vital business is to this vibrant city.

Barcelona

IESE is based in Barcelona, a vibrant, cosmopolitan city whose deeply ingrained multiculturalism serves as the perfect backdrop to the Global Executive MBA program. You will spend the majority of your on-site time in the program on the Barcelona campus. Barcelona is a bilingual, multicultural city immersed in the unique culture of the Catalan region. The city is a thriving business hub, proudly displaying its entrepreneurship and innovation at every turn - from the stunning architecture of Gaudi to the bustling, revitalized Olympic Port.

IESE's campus is modern and comfortable, offering cutting-edge technology as well as a warm, personal atmosphere. During your time on campus, you can focus fully on learning and building relationships with peers and faculty. 

Shanghai

At the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, you will see first-hand the challenges and opportunities of emerging markets. Shanghai, a leading force in Asia's dynamic business environment, epitomizes Asia's spectacular growth economy and clearly shows the role technology plays in emerging markets. During this residential module, you will be exposed to new business practices and market dynamics and gain insight into the management that drives them. Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley, the center of technological innovation and relentless entrepreneurship, epitomizes IESE's ideals of cross-cultural exchange and forward-thinking business practices. In close partnership with the world’s leading technology developers and entrepreneurs, you will analyze the impact of technology on business, management and strategy and gain first-hand knowledge of how to best harness and apply technological advancements in your own company. In Silicon Valley, the capital of the world's "New Economy," you will have the opportunity to learn from and network with the leaders of the industry that so often transforms - and helps grow - your own business. India

With India emerging as Asia's other large, fast-growing economy rivaling that of China, participants may choose to spend time understanding the capabilities of this up-and-coming global player. Offering untold commercial and cost-saving advantages, India plays a crucial role in the increasing interdependence of Asian, European and U.S. economies.

New York City

The Big Apple hardly needs any introduction: New York City is a global hub of international business and commerce, acting as one of three "command centers" for the world economy (along with London and Tokyo). Besides business and finance, the city is a major center for creative industries (media and the arts), high-tech (bioscience, Internet services) and international diplomacy.
