IESE is one of the world’s most international business schools, offering programs in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Since it was founded in 1957, IESE has maintained a global focus, and today boasts a highly international faculty and student body. Through the years, it has also partnered with other leading institutions in the United States to offer international programs designed to effectively meet the needs of CEOs and members of their senior management teams. IESE is also the center of a network of Associated Business Schools, located in 14 countries around the world.
Throughout its history, IESE has maintained strong ties with the United States. It developed Europe’s first 2-year MBA program through the guidance of Harvard Business School in 1962. IESE has also partnered with other leading U.S. business schools to offer high-caliber programs for U.S. executives living and working around the world. As a leading provider of executive education worldwide, IESE has delivered custom programs for numerous U.S. companies such as Boeing, Oracle and Visteon at diverse international locations. With its recently-established center in United States, IESE further strengthens its relationships with North American companies and executives. The center will serve as a hub for the expansion of IESE program offerings and research activities in the region, as well as a source of support for alumni. In February of 2009, the school broke ground on a project to refurbish the center, which is located in an emblematic building in New York City. To help finance this project, IESE has launched a capital campaign, which seeks to cover the costs of the building investment and support the new center’s activities.
IESE continues to expand its international reach, continually offering new programs around the globe. Its overarching goal is to provide management development to business leaders worldwide. Since the 1960s, IESE has helped develop various Associated Business schools in developing regions of the world. Each of these schools have become recognized as leading schools within their own countries. Schools are located in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, Portugal and Peru. IESE is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top business schools. It offers programs at its two world-class campuses, as well as other locations, in Europe. The school has had a longstanding relationship with companies and business leaders in China. The school has strong ties with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), offering programs and taking part in other initiatives. IESE Professor Pedro Nueno serves as CEIBS’ executive director, and other IESE professors have played key roles at the school. IESE is deeply committed to supporting executive education in Central Africa. The school provides ongoing support to Lagos Business School in Nigeria and Strathmore University in Kenya, in addition to other activities in the region. IESE professors travel frequently to these institutions, leading programs and providing support. IESE partners with the Indian School of Business (ISB) to offer programs for top executives in India in Hyderabad and Mumbai. It also offers modules of its Global Executive MBA program in the country.Association Business Schools
