The AMP program consists of four residential modules distributed over a period of six months. Between the modules, participants will prepare for the next residential module, work on individual business problems, and carry out self-assessment projects.
Dates:
Module 1 (1 week): Understanding the Business Landscape November 5-10, 2007
Web community
Module 2 (1week): Managing Value Creation January 14-18, 2008
Web community
Module 3 (1 week): Leading Innovation and Change
March 10-14, 2008
Web community
Module 4 (1 week): Getting Things Done May 19-23, 2008
Teaching method:
The teaching methods are highly interactive and include case studies, discussions, simulations, presentations, and small-group learning activities and breakout sessions. The case method engages faculty and participants in an interactive process of analysis and in-depth discussion that facilitates problem solving and decision-making skills. It ensures that real life situations are discussed and real problems solved. Participants are encouraged to look both internally and externally at the way they operate and the complex and volatile market in which they compete. These two perspectives provide a focus for both professors and participants to establish a learning environment that will create value in every sense. All participants are encouraged to complete their "learning logs" daily, thus when they return to their companies they are equipped with a meaningful and tangible "take-home agenda."
In between Residential modules:
When not on campus, you will be preparing for the next residential week, and carrying out self-assessment projects.
Applications for admission are accepted throughout the year and should be received at least two months prior to the program's start date. Due to limited class size, early application is encouraged. Late applications will be considered if space is still available in the program.
All complete applications for admission will be thoroughly reviewed by the program's Admissions Committee, which will be the sole judge of a candidate's qualifications to enter the program. Due to class size restraints and the need to have a balanced mixture of backgrounds, sometimes not all fully qualified applicants can be admitted to the program.
Applications should be mailed or faxed to:
