Talent Development: The Key to Competitive Advantage - Barcelona, November 9-12, 2010 "This is a first class program, thanks to the faculty and the high quality it provided. The program provided me with a more detailed insight into and understanding of my own strengths and areas for improvement and how to develop these. In my capacity of head of HR, I am sure that my focus on the development of the leadership competencies of our managers and our potential candidates has been intensified."
Successful companies realize that the abilities of their employees, especially managers, are a crucial source of competitive advantage. Maximizing this asset requires a sophisticated understanding of leadership competencies and strategies to assess and enhance them.

Developing Leadership Competencies (DLC) is an opportunity for professional candor away from the glare of the corporate arena. Before the program starts, participants carry out self-assessment, including a 360-degree evaluation. During the course, managers receive feedback on their leadership capabilities and personal leadership style. They also design personal development plans and strategies to engage team members to achieve corporate goals. Upon the program’s conclusion, participants are offered "virtual coaching" to help them implement their plans.
Optimizing participants’ expertise in coaching others is another key focus of the DLC program. Class sessions and individual coaching sessions give participants a thorough understanding of the coaching process. Participants learn practical ways to harness competencies for cultural change.
