Pablo Cardona’s interests lie in the areas of leadership, management development, cross-cultural research, and coaching. He has consulted for numerous companies including La Caixa, Volkswagen-Audi, Sony, and Danone on projects ranging from organizational change to creating effective top management teams.
Prof. Cardona has written and contributed to several books and articles. In 2003 the Academy of Management recognized one of his papers among the top 10 non-U.S. research papers. His most recent book in English, Management by Missions, was published in 2008.
Steven Poelmans
Professor of Managing People in Organizations
Ph.D. in Management/Organizational Behavior, IESE
Steven Poelmans is the academic director of the International Center for Work and Family. His areas of research include work-family conflict, family-friendly human resource policies, and managerial stress, mainly from an international perspective.
Author of the book, Tiempo de Calidad, Calidad de Vida (“Quality Time, Quality of Life”), he has also published extensively in academic journals. His most recent book, Harmonizing Work, Family, and Personal Life, was published in 2008.
Alberto Ribera
Professor of Manageing People in Organizations

Ph.D. in Economics, Universidad CEU San Pablo
Alberto Ribera joined IESE after a 15-year career in international organizations, most recently as the dean of the Euro Arab Management School.
Prof. Ribera’s academic interests are interdisciplinary, combining neuroscience and psychology with management of organizations, especially those with an international scope. He sits on the board of the Istituto per la Cooperazione Universitaria and is frequently a guest speaker at international meetings, including the World Economic Forum and Foro Formentor.
