Rama Velamuri
Academic Director
Professor of Entrepreneurship, IESE
Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics and Strategy, The Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia

Rama Velamuri teaches Entrepreneurship and Negotiation at the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and IESE Business School (currently on leave). Prof. Velamuri also serves as a visiting professor at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.

Prof. Velamuri has extensive experience consulting for Spanish, Indian and U.S. firms, specializing in internationalization and acquisition projects.

His research, widely published in academic and general publications, explores entrepreneurship and its implications for strategy and growth.


Pedro Videla
Head of Department of Economics, IESE Business School
Ph.D. in Economics, University of Chicago

Pedro Videla has taught at universities across Europe and North and South America, and serves as a visiting professor at IAE, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, IDE and Lagos Business School, among others.

Prof. Videla has consulted for a variety of institutions, including the World Bank, IMF, the European Union, the Inter-American Development Bank, and USAID. 

He has authored case studies, contributed to numerous books, and published articles in the financial and specialized press. He is currently an editor of Journal of Emerging Economies.


Sanjay Peters
Professor of Economics, IESE Business School
Ph.D. in Economics, University of Cambridge

Sanjay Peters' main areas of interest center on emerging market risks and opportunities in Asia, with a focus on India and China. His work on these subjects has been published in numerous books and academic publications.

Prof. Peters has also served as an economic adviser to the foreign office of the British government, and as a consultant to the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme.

He serves on the editorial board of several academic journals and as an economic advisor to a number of leading multinational companies.


The program will feature a number of speakers. The list of speakers is subject to change based on availability. However, all speakers will be of a similar caliber.

Pawan G. Agrawal
Pawan G. Agrawal is the CEO of the Nutan Tiffin Box Suppliers Charity Trust (NTBSCT) in Mumbai, and director of the Agrawal Institute of Management. The NTBSCT was the subject of a 2004 HBS business case.

Aquil Busrai
Aquil Busrai has worked in various human resource capacities in the Asia Pacific region, including positions in Unilever, Motorola and Shell. In 2007 he returned to India after being appointed as the executive human resources director at IBM India Limited.

Nishka Crishna
Nishka Crishna is the vice president of Qi, the ethnography division of Quantum Market Research Pvt Ltd. Prior to holding this position, Crishna was the country manager of Quantum Market Research in Bangladesh.

Gurcharan Das
Gurcharan Das served as the CEO of Procter & Gamble India from 1985 to 1992. Author of the international bestseller India Unbound, Das is currently a writer and management consultant specializing in global corporate strategy.

Kumar Ketkar
Kumar Ketkar is the chief editor of Loksatta, the leading Marathi newspaper, and contributor to IndianExpress and Financial Express. The author of several Marathi books on politics, literature and science, Ketkar also serves as a visiting professor at Mumbai University and Pune University.

Srini Raju
Srini Raju is co-founder of Satyam Computer Services and Cognizant Technology Solutions. Currently a venture capitalist, Mr. Raju founded iLabs Capital in 2000, which has funded more than a dozen companies.

Jayesh Sanghvi
Jayesh Sanghvi is a Partner at the Global Tax Advisory Services Group of Ernst & Young India. He boasts extensive experience in the field of corporate taxation, transfer pricing and regulatory matters.
