Strategic Management of Global Value Chains

Barcelona, November 3 - 6, 2009

Strategic Management of Global Value Chains

Today’s global networks of products and services are highly complex, and the global environment in which they operate is one of constant, and sometimes unpredictable, change. Leading the Pack will show how you can gain competitive advantage through the strategic management of your value chain.

The program provides a thorough overview of value networks by covering critical issues such as offshoring, outsourcing, and managing risk in the value chain. With guidance from IESE and Stanford University faculty experts, participants will gain fresh insights that can be applied to their own specific sector and company. They will learn how to devise and implement new supply chain frameworks, along with specific methods for lowering costs and improving service quality.

The program also addresses change management and proposes strategies for protecting against network risks and disruptions. It shows how managers can lead organizational transformation in international contexts. Participants leave the program with practical tools and ideas for strengthening and implementing their own global supply chain strategies.
