Organizing events outside the recruitment process is an effective way to promote your brand to students. Through these events, students get to know your organization and people working there and this can often be more effective than the typical on-campus presentation.
Our MBA student-run clubs are focal points of student activity and networking. Working with the clubs is an effective and efficient way to reach a targeted group of MBA students segmented according to industry and career interest. MBA Career Services' directors work closely with their sector's student club, providing suggestions of both career and content-related sessions, putting them in touch with speakers and actively promoting the club CV book to their clients.
There are a number of ways to be involved with these groups throughout the year including:
Industry Days: Companies send speakers to talk about the challenges facing the sector and these sessions are combined with networking events with students and alumni.
Doing Good and Doing Well Conference: Europe's leading student run conference on Responsible Business that takes place at the end of February. Involvement can be in the form of sponsorship, speakers or participation in the Conference Career Fair. For more information on this event, click here (PDF, 66 Kb)
London Banking Tour: organized by the Finance Club students meet with prospective employers as well as alumni working in the sector.
Case Competitions: Gain exposure and assess talent early on by providing realworld business problems for students to analyze and solve.
Case Interview Workshops: Help students prepare for case-based interviews by sending company representatives to campus to discuss key frameworks, models and tips for success.
Clean Tech Seminar: As part of the Doing Good and Doing Well Conference this seminar brings together selected cleantech industry entrepreneurs with some of the world's leading venture capitalists in an exciting pitching and Q&A format.
Asia Trek: Students travel to Singapore and Hong Kong to meet with companies and network.
