Introduction

Countrywide economic growth and globalization of the world economy provide an excellent backdrop for businesses in Latin America to develop and prosper on an international scale. Company growth and sustainability, however, can be threatened by various factors, including industry consolidation, globalization, innovation and economic reform. The task of building strong companies and effectively integrating them into the global marketplace is a difficult, complex undertaking for top corporate executives. To distinguish their companies from the competition, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) in Latin America must maximize their potential for coping with the changing environment, managing across business disciplines and country borders, and providing organization-wide leadership.

The Global CEO Program for Latin America is a special executive education initiative that is being offered through an educational partnership among three established business schools worldwide—China Europe International Business School, IESE Business School and the Wharton School. Recognizing that companies succeed through individual initiatives and organizational excellence, the program is designed especially for Latin American CEOs who are in a position to review, reflect, and make breakthroughs in both of these areas.

The program enhances leadership skills by helping you broaden your business knowledge and acquire strategic vision in both a Latin American and global business context. You will leave the program with a new level of readiness that is necessary to meet current and future challenges and to capitalize on opportunities around the world.
