IESE supports social initiatives for Africa

As well as the education and development of business leaders throughout the continent, IESE and its community of faculty, employees, Alumni, and stakeholders support two further projects:
HOSPITAL IN NIGERIA:
IESE will collaborate in the project of expansion and equipment of the Niger Foundation Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in Enugu, Nigeria. It is a project in Health Care in Enugu, a city South East of the country. The city has about 3 million inhabitants and 45% of the population is under 15. It is a long-term project with a high social impact.
COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY IN KENYA:
IESE will collaborate in the construction and equipment of Eastlands College of Technology in Nairobi. It includes a Support Centre for Small-Scale Entrepreneurs in the Eastlands area of Nairobi. Overall objective of the project is to support local economic development initiatives in Kenya and to contribute to poverty alleviation through the training of youth and professionals in demand driven jobs specification and job-creation and support of small-scale enterprises.
OTHERS:
IESE also contributes to other initiatives. For example, this year has seen contributions to Kimlea, an educational project of the Nurisha Trust of the Kianda Foundation, known for its development and well-being of women in Kenya. The project provides education for women and children in order to facilitate basic skills such as cooking, accounting, sowing, English and ethics. A total of 50 scholarships were awarded to cover education and living expenses.
