Former Executive Board Member of the ECB Joins IESE's Faculty
González Páramo Named Visiting Professor
IESE Business School has announced that former Executive Board member of the European Central Bank José Manuel Gonzalez Páramo will join the school's Economics Department as Visiting Professor of Economics.
Prof. González Páramo served as Executive Board member of the European Central Bank from June 2004 to May 2012 and previously also served as economic advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He has also served on the the Governing Council and Executive Committee of the Bank of Spain.
Prof. González Páramo has extensive international experience, including performing various advisory and research activities for world leading institutions – such as the World Bank in Washington DC, Inter-American Development Bank in Argentina, the European Commission, the European Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Observatoire de l'Epargne Européenne in Paris Studies Centre for Public Economics BBVA Foundation and the FIES-CECA Foundation, Institute for Fiscal Studies.
A former Fulbright Scholar, he holds a Ph.D M.A. and M.Phil. in Economics from Columbia University, as well an economics degree and Ph.D. from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).
