Standards of Excellence
The quality of IESE's faculty, resources and programs are recognized on many levels, including by official accrediting agencies. IESE is pleased to hold the triple accreditation from the following organizations:
AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Less than five percent of the world’s business schools hold an AACSB accreditation.
EQUIS (The European Quality Improvement System) is the accrediting body of the European Fund for Management Development (EFMD) and is dedicated to raising the standard of management education world-wide.
AMBA (The Association of MBAs) is based in the UK and accredits graduate business programs worldwide.
In addition, IESE is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education which is responsible for accrediting higher education in Spain.
Quality Plan Introduction
As a result of IESE's commitment to guarantee the quality of the degrees and services it offers, the school participates in the Institutional Assessment and Verification Plan promoted by ANECA. As part of ANECA's AUDIT program, the Internal Quality Control System (SGIC) was started up as a support tool for the design, implementation, monitoring and improvement of each IESE degree.
On July 13, 2010, the Quality Guarantee Committee (CGC) was created at IESE to monitor the school's postgraduate programs. The CGC coordinates the tasks of planning and monitoring the SGIC. The Committee's mission is to protect society's interests regarding the quality of IESE's educational programs and to study proposals for acquiring official undergraduate, Master's and doctorate degrees.
