Research carried out by the chair currently focuses on the preparation of a book on real experiences of improving operational excellence in its three dimensions and the description of the tools that have been used in these improvements, so they can be replicated in other centers.
To prepare this book, the concept of operational excellence has been divided into three dimensions, making it more applicable. These dimensions are: (1) technical and knowledge excellence (2) excellence in processes, and vertical and horizontal integration, and (3) excellence in service to patients and family members. For each of these dimensions, the book incorporates materials that describe best practices and implementation guides to help put these ideas into practice in centers that consider them appropriate.
