Barcelona Library Refurbishment Project – Completed!
The Barcelona IESE Library is pleased to announce that the refurbishment project taking place this summer to improve and expand its facilities is now almost complete. The project was partly in response to feedback we had received in both our Students IESE Library Survey and the MBA Students survey.
What Work Was Done?
The Library has significantly increased its floor space, occupying the whole of G-100 floor. The whole of the Library has undergone refurbishment, including improved infrastructure (heating, lighting and ventilation), new furniture and new spaces. The result is a comfortable and inspiring learning space that is conducive for study, reflection and conducting research.

• Study seating capacity increased by 53 (39%)
• Self service facilities for borrowing and returning books
• Extended opening hours:
o 8 a.m. to 10p.m. Monday to Friday
o 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
• Different spaces for different uses: silent study zone, quiet study zone and relaxation zone
• Financial room
• Career corner
• Training room
• Printing room
• Press area
• New acquisitions display
