The jobs in demand are<\/span>\u00a0emerging into a clear pattern<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0According to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>IESE\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>latest\u00a0<\/span>E<\/span>mployment\u00a0<\/span>R<\/span>eport<\/span><\/a>, the\u00a0<\/span>consulting sector remains the most popular<\/span><\/b>\u00a0destination\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0MBA<\/span>\u00a0graduates<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0with technology\u00a0<\/span>and digital\u00a0<\/span>disruption\u00a0<\/span>also\u00a0<\/span>continu<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0to dominate the playing field<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a very good reason for this, according to Patrick Wallen,\u00a0<\/span>executive director of\u00a0<\/span>IESE<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>C<\/span>areer\u00a0<\/span>D<\/span>evelopment\u00a0<\/span>C<\/span>ente<\/span>r<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>In the face of the pandemic, tech is taking over indus<\/span>tries like retail and transport,<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0he says.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWe\u2019re<\/span>\u00a0also<\/span>\u00a0seeing a clear pattern in the positions that are available, with structured organi<\/span>z<\/span>ations like consulting<\/span>\u00a0and banking\u00a0<\/span>taking on talent at the highest levels, but fast<\/span>–<\/span>moving consumer goods\u00a0<\/span>and high-street retail really suffering.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And, he adds,\u00a0<\/span>recruiters are looking for a\u00a0<\/span>specific set of skills<\/span><\/a>, regardless of sector.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cPeople are looking for potential, more than anything, with a really strong growth mindset,\u201d says Wallen.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]
