Jeroen Neckebrouck es profesor adjunto en el departamento de iniciativa emprendedora. Sus intereses de investigación se centran en la gestión de empresas privadas, con un interés particular en las empresas familiares y de capital privado. Su investigación actual se centra en cómo las inversiones minoritarias de capital privado pueden contribuir al desempeño de las empresas familiares, y en la relación entre la gobierno de la empresa privada y el desarrollo del capital humano específico de la empresa.

Su trabajo de investigación se ha publicado en revistas académicas de prestigio, como Academy of Management Journal, Venture Capital y the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings y lo ha presentado en varias conferencias internacionales. En 2018, su tesis doctoral ganó el premio Best Doctoral Dissertation Award del Family Firm Institute (FFI).

Anteriormente, el Prof. Neckebrouck ejerció como consultor en el sector de las telecomunicaciones.
