Introduction
With innovation levels that are higher than the average in most sectors, the health-care industry contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of life. This naturally calls for significant investment in R&D and also means growing costs. The debate on how to address this issue is a priority for all economies of the world today. Other pertinent issues include the impact of globalization on company strategies and the development of health-care systems in emerging countries. What should health-care companies be like in 2020?
