Ready to Think Big: GEW Starts Today

IESE program|Full program

Global Entrepreneurship Week is set to start on Monday, November 14, with activities spanning 123 countries. IESE, which coordinates the initiative in Spain along with other institutions, will inaugurate the fourth edition of GEW with the 57th Business Angels Forum. The week will continue with daily lunches with entrepreneurs, the announcement of the candidates for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Prize on Tuesday, the IESE Search Fund Conference on Wednesday and the Tech Fair on Thursday.

Throughout the week, entrepreneurs and GEW partners will carry out an average of one activity per minute, with the goal of fueling the creation of new companies and helping young entrepreneurs connect with activities in the business world.

Pau Garcia-Milà, founder of eyeOS and official ambassador of GEW, encourages young people to pursue big ideas, and said that aspiring entrepreneurs in Spain are starting to believe that their projects have potential outside the country's borders. "We cannot stop thinking big," said Garcia-Milà.

In Spain, GEW is coordinated by IESE's Entrepreneurship Innovation Center and co-sponsored by entities and companies such as ACC1Ó, Barcelona Activa, Fundación Banesto, BeCapital, Sociedad de Promoción Económica de Gran Canaria, Fundación Rafael del Pino, Madrid Emprende and Grupo Intercom.
