FAQS
In the following link you can consult the list of all the most frequently asked questions about IESE. On the right side, you will find the specific questions about this program.
The Master in Finance (MiF) is designed for recent graduates or young professionals who want to launch a career in finance and already have a strong quantitative background. In contrast, the Master in Management (MiM) is aimed at recent university graduates or young professionals from a variety of academic backgrounds who seek a broader foundation in business and management.
Building a long-term career in finance typically requires more specialized preparation than a general management degree can provide. It also demands a strong combination of technical expertise and managerial judgment. Today’s financial professionals operate in a complex and interconnected ecosystem, navigating multiple domains, including risk, regulation, markets, analytics, AI and economics, and making decisions that shape companies, industries and markets.
For that reason, IESE’s MiF offers focused training in advanced quantitative tools and financial models, combined with a broader managerial perspective. Its goal is to develop well-rounded future leaders in finance, rather than narrow technical specialists.
Not necessarily. We welcome STEM, Business, Economics and other graduates with strong quantitative abilities.
No. The MiF is a pre-experience program (candidates can have up to two years’ work experience), so prior experience is not required for admission. However, some relevant experience and a clear passion for finance will strengthen your profile, and employers often value prior experience during recruitment.
The IESE MiF follows a round-based admissions process, with one round per month. We strongly recommend applying early to maximize your chances of admission and financial aid.

There is no better way to get to know IESE and our programs than by visiting the campus. We would be happy to host a personal visit so that you can experience IESE firsthand with a real business case and the opportunity to meet current students.
Please submit your request via the Campus Tour form to schedule a visit.
