Marta Durany is Lecturer in the Managerial Decision Sciences Department. She holds a full time MBA by IESE Business School and a master’s degree in industrial engineering by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
At the beginning of her career, she worked in strategic consulting within the big data industry, particularly for the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Banking sectors, both for public and private entities. Later, she joined Amazon, in the Operations Department, where she was part of the team that launched the Barcelona Fulfillment Center. In that period, she operated in Spain, England, and Poland. She worked in different processes, led large teams of people, and spearheaded several projects around EU in the Operations, Logistics and Transportation areas.
After her MBA, she joined Werfen, a +$2Bn MedTech company in the healthcare sector, as a member of the Global Leadership Program, where she led the creation of the Business Analytics department within the WW Supply Chain. She then moved to the Customer Service area to build from scratch the WW Center of Excellence. Afterwards, she became Commercial Operations Manager, where she developed and implemented key global commercial processes, including commercial planning and tracking, operational finance and strategy, and performance improvement.
Marta collaborates with the Managerial Decision Sciences Department at IESE since 2022.
