Ricardo Engelbert is Professor in the Operations, Information and Technology and General Management Departments. He is responsible for the areas of Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at ISE Business School, in São Paulo. He holds a Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidade Positivo (Brazil). His doctorate studies included being a Visiting Scholar at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at University of Arkansas. His B.Sc. degree is in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Parana (UTFPR).
After an executive career of more than 20 years in the telecommunications and information technology industries, he switched to the academic environment after his Ph.D. His C-level positions included activities in marketing, general management and service operations, always connected to information technology driven businesses.
He also works as consultant and board member at companies that want to promote the digital transformation of their businesses.
