Executive MBA
Branch out beyond your area of professional expertise and acquire the leadership, decision-making and entrepreneurial skills you need to take on new responsibilities.
Experience: 5+ years
Location: Editions in Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, or São Paulo
Length: 18 months
Format: Part-Time / On campus
Structure: Classes 2 or 3 days a week (weekly, biweekly or triweekly formats) + 6 intensive weeks (some of them international)
Language: English, bilingual (Spanish/ English) or trilingual (Spanish/ English/ Portuguese)
Global Executive MBA
Driven by ambition and impact, you seek to deepen your business expertise, expand your global network, and gain a broader, more strategic perspective to lead effectively on a worldwide scale.
Working and managerial experience: 10+ years of work experience, from 3-5 in management positions.
Location: Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, New York, Singapore, Silicon Valley among other cities.
Length: between 16 and 28 months
Format: Part-Time / Blended (Modular on campus & distance learning)
Structure: 6 core modules (3 Foundational + 3 Discovery-advanced) + 2 Specialization (elective) modules + One final week
Language: English

At IESE, all our MBA programs are designed to sharpen your business acumen and provide a holistic view of management. However, the cohorts differ significantly in terms of age, experience, and international exposure. Peer-to-peer interaction and building a strong network are essential to the learning experience.
Executive MBA (EMBA):
- Candidates have 5-10 years of professional experience in junior to middle-management roles.
- Average age is 34.
- The program attracts diverse participants from various backgrounds, fostering a strong network that spans multiple industries and nationalities.
- The focus is on enhancing business knowledge, management skills, and team leadership capabilities.
Global EMBA (GEMBA):
- Candidates have more than 10 years of relevant work experience, with an average of 14 years.
- Average age is 40.
- The program brings together experienced professionals from a wide range of nationalities and industries, creating a global and diverse community.
- Emphasizes leadership, stakeholder management, and the skills needed to excel in multicultural settings.
Which program structure fits you best?
Executive MBA (EMBA):
- Offered at four campuses (Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, or São Paulo) over 18 months.
- Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays (weekly or bi-weekly) and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (tri-weekly), depending on the location, with at least 2 intensive international weeks.
- The structure typically attracts participants from a variety of regions, fostering a strong, diverse network that includes both local and international profiles.
Global EMBA (GEMBA):
- MBA core contents are covered during the on-campus immersive modules taking place in 8 different cities across four continents.
- Combines remote learning with 15 weeks of on-campus immersion over 16-28 months.
- The structure typically attracts participants with proven global careers or ambitions to become global changemakers.
- The program includes very diverse methodologies including company visits, guest speakers and immersive simulations and activities in the different destinations.
- Includes Lifelong electives, which you can join anytime after graduation.
