Prof. Giovanni B. Andornino is Senior Lecturer at IESE Business School and Associate Professor at the University of Turin (Italy).
He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Catholic University of Milan and an MSc in Global History from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research focuses on structural change in the international system and specifically on China’s re-emergence as a global actor (ORCID: 0000-0003-3759-1177).
As a consultant, Prof. Andornino works for international companies and charities pursuing strategic engagement with China. He has been leading policy-oriented research for EU institutions and European governments and parliaments, including in his capacity as President of the Torino World Affairs Institute.
He has previously been affiliated with the Transatlantic Academy (Washington, D.C.), the University of Technology Sydney, the European University Institute, the Institut d’études avancées de Paris (EURICS fellow), and Peking University.
In 2021, he was made a Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic by Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
