Aspiring entrepreneurs gathered at IESE on April 13 for a unique MBA Open Day event for candidates seeking to launch their own business ventures. Offered in IESE's longstanding Open Day format, the special event included panel sessions and activities focusing entrepreneurship. The 40 participants reflected 16 different countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico and Spain.
The Open Day began with welcome and introductions to IESE's MBA Program from Itziar de Ros, MBA Admissions Director, followed by the presentation, "How Can IESE Help You Become/Continue Being an Entrepreneur," led by Mathieu Carenzo, Director of IESE's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center.
Following a case discussion guided by Prof. Antonio Dávila, the students heard the perspectives of alumni and current students who have launched their own firms. The Alumni Entrepreneurs Panel included Timo Buetefisch (MBA'04) of Cooltra Motos, SL; Antonio Caminit (MBA'05) of Qué Pasta!; Thaís Ivern Bondia (MBA' 01) of Impactmedia S.A.; and Belen Martin (MBA'03) of Código Básico. Participants were also given an in-depth view of IESE's MBA Career Services through a separate presentation led by the department's team.
In two weeks, IESE's Admissions team will organize its next Open Day in New York City. Find out more
