90 percent of IESE MBAs secure jobs after program
Three months following the program, 90 percent of IESE's most recent graduated MBA class secured employment at locations around the globe.
This year's class included 282 students, a 25 percent increase over the previous year due to the addition of a new section of the MBA. Students reflected 54 different nationalities and around 80 percent of the class is international.
Among the leading firms that recruited IESE graduates this year were McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group and Amazon.com.
Europe - where 65 percent of new alumni have accepted jobs - was the main destination for this year's graduates. Within the Eurozone, a significant number of students were also hired in Spain, the UK and Germany. The school doubled the number of students recruited to work in the United States and Asia.
In terms of sectors, students are changing their preferences, the recruiting data show. Along with traditional areas such as consultance, banking and finance, graduates are increasingly setting their sights on careers in technology. IBM, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, NEC, Telefonica and Vodafone were among companies to make full-time offers to members of the Class of 2012. Manufacturing, energy and healthcare firms were also key recruiting industries.
Another visible trend among students, according to IESE's Career Service team, is a clear preference for working with companies that facilitate work/life balance.
The team offers a wide range of services and support for students as they carry out their job searches. They also lead a host of global treks that focus on different regions and sectors, providing students with valuable knowledge and contacts.
