IESE Career Forum Makes an Encore
Recruiting event held twice in one year for the first time
In spite of the current high unemployment rate in Spain and the complicated economic situation in Europe, leading companies are heading to IESE soon for the school's first-ever winter edition of the Career Forum to recruit talented professionals. In fact, 30 percent of graduates of the MBA Class of 2012 secured jobs in Spain, reflecting the fact that talent will always attract opportunity.
IESE's Career Services team decided to organize a second edition of the Career Forum in response to continued strong interest in IESE MBA graduates among firms in diverse sectors. The event will be held today and tomorrow on the school's Barcelona campus.
The second edition of the Career Forum is sponsored by Syngenta, Schneider Electric, Accenture and Google.
Unlike forum held in the fall of 2012, this second event will be primarly aimed at 2nd-year MBA students, since companies are now looking to hire for specific positions that graduates can assume in a few months.
In terms of sectors represented in this second Career Forum of the year, there will be a greater number of companies from the manufacturing sector, as compared with consulting or finance. In addition, this will be the first time the technology sector will feature greater presence than banking.
Some of the leading companies that will take part in the forum are Google, Amazon, Bertelsmann, Almirall, Dupont, Syngenta, Gas Natural, FCC, Mango, Madbid.com, King.com, Ernst and Young, Altaïr, Louis Vuitton and Allianz.
