Juan Roure is emeritus professor of Entrepreneurship and Negotiation. During ten years has been a member of IESE's International Advisory Board (IAB). He has been Visiting Professor at Stanford University, INSEAD, Harvard Business School and CEIBS (China).

His areas of interest include:

Strategies for Growth and New Businesses. He has developed a large number of strategic reflection workshops with the management teams of leading companies, helping them create strategies and plans to unlock their entrepreneurial potential. Notable organizations he has worked with include CaixaBank, REPSOL, Gas Natural Fenosa, Telefónica, DEUSTCHE BANK, BANCO SANTANDER, TECHINT, C.H. WERFEN, SAR, DISA, PANREAC, MEMORA and AIRBUS MILITARY. He has launched and directs the Corporate Venturing Forums at IESE.

Private Equity. He has acted as a consultant and participated in several fundraising and sales transactions. He has also launched and directs the Forum of Private Investors and Representatives of Family Offices of IESE. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Vallis Capital Partner and has served on the European Advisory Committee of The Carlyle Group.

Launching and Revitalizing Boards of Directors and Family Boards. He is the coauthor of the Guide to Good Governance in Family-Run Companies, edited by the Instituto de Empresa Familiar. He has led workshops to increase the efficiency of boards of directors and family boards with the Association of Family Businesses from Catalonia, Madrid and Andorra, and with the World Bank in several countries of Central America. He is a member of several boards of directors and advisory committees.

The Family Office and Its Development. He is developing a series of cases and projects on the transformation of the family business into the family in business. This involves structuring the governing bodies and family agreements or protocols, the asset allocation strategy and the development of the Family Office. He is co-author of the international study on key factors in the creation and development of Family Offices in which more than 100 families have participated. He is an advisor or member of the Board of several Family Offices.
