Special Educational Needs
IESE Business School, aligned with its mission, Christian humanist vision, and the inclusive commitment of the University of Navarra, provides support to students with special educational needs or disabilities—such as learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia), visual or hearing impairments, reduced mobility, and others. At IESE, we consider disability as one more aspect of the human condition and make every effort to integrate such diversity into academic life, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
During the admissions process, IESE adapts its procedures to the needs of each candidate. In line with current regulations, admission tests and requirements may be adjusted to ensure fairness. Candidates with special needs are assigned an academic advisor who assesses possible adaptations in the admissions process (such as examination adjustments or alternative pathways).
Once enrolled, each student is assigned an academic tutor who accompanies them throughout their program, with particular attention given to those with specific educational needs. IESE assesses and implements the necessary curricular or methodological adaptations in each case, provided they are compatible with the learning objectives of the program. For example, students may be granted extra time for exams, offered alternative assessment formats (such as oral instead of written tests), or provided with accessible materials (enlarged-print notes, digital resources, assistive technology, etc.), among other support measures.
Likewise, IESE’s campuses are fully accessible to individuals with reduced mobility, with physical barriers removed from classrooms and facilities.
Students requiring any type of adaptation must inform the school in advance and submit the corresponding medical or psychopedagogical documentation. All information provided will be treated confidentially and used solely for the intended purpose of supporting the student.
To provide this personalized attention, IESE has an on-campus medical service with professionals who advise students as needed, assess their specific requirements, and coordinate necessary adaptations in collaboration with the Admissions Department and Program Directors.
Furthermore, the school benefits from the guidance of experts and specialized organizations to adapt its programs to participants’ different disabilities, thereby promoting a truly inclusive environment and ensuring equal opportunities. As a school of the University of Navarra, IESE is part of the SADPU Network, which collaborates in providing services for students with disabilities across associated universities.
