Joan Fontrodona is Professor and director of the Business Ethics Department. He is also CaixaBank Chair in Sustainability and Social Impact. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Navarra and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra.
He has held positions of responsibility in organizations related to business ethics and social responsibility. He was president of EBEN-Spain (the Spanish branch of the European Business Ethics Network), a member of the Board of ABIS (The Academy of Business and Society) and a member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact.
He is currently a member of the Social Responsibility Commission of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia and a member of the Ethics Commission of FENIN.
He has written and collaborated to several books on Business Ethics and was a guest editor in several special issues of scientific journals, such as Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics and, Business Ethics: European Review. He is also a member of advisory and editorial boards in different medias and publications related to Business Ethics and Social Responsibility.
