Family Office Academy
Connecting families, capital and legacy
Through the Family Office Academy, you will learn practical approaches to the key challenges faced by business-owning families: governance and decision-making, engaging the next generation, strategy and asset allocation, investing in public markets, private equity and real estate, and tax structures.
The Family Office Academy is an IESE program designed to address the challenges faced by Family Offices in a practical way, using real-life cases and creating a Forum where families facing similar issues can share experiences, compare perspectives, and learn from different approaches.

Non-family participants may also attend, provided they participate alongside the family. This includes non-family senior executives, independent board members, and trustees. A Dual-Campus Experience: Madrid and Barcelona
The program is delivered over two intensive training days, taking place across IESE’s Madrid and Barcelona campuses.
Why a Dual-Campus Experience?
By bringing together two of Spain’s leading business and investment hubs, the program offers participants the opportunity to:
- Connect with two of the country’s most dynamic entrepreneurial and investment ecosystems.
- Expand their network through interaction with geographically diverse participants.
- Gain first-hand exposure to speakers, investors, and influential leaders from both Madrid and Barcelona.
- Develop a broader perspective on the opportunities and challenges shaping the Family Office landscape.
This unique format enriches the learning experience while fostering valuable connections across regions and generations.
The registration process consists of two straightforward steps:
- Complete and submit the online application form.
- Once your application has been submitted, payment of the program fee is required. IESE reserves the right to refund the full program fee to applicants who do not meet the admission requirements or eligibility criteria.

The fee includes all course materials and lunches throughout the program. Participants are required to prepare the pre-reading materials, which will be provided one week before the start of the program. Payment of the program fee is required before these materials can be distributed.
In addition, participants may voluntarily take part, for one year following completion of the program, in the investment forums of the IESE Business Angels and Family Office Network.
Please note that, in addition to the Family Office Academy, IESE has been offering a Business Angels Academy for more than 15 years, designed to address the challenges faced by families that choose to allocate part of their wealth to the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.
For this reason and building on many years of experience delivering these complementary programs, we offer participants the opportunity to enroll simultaneously in the Business Angels Academy and pursue both academies through an integrated learning journey.
Enrollment in both programs during the same period also entitles participants to special combined-program discounts.
