European Competitiveness in AI
Barcelona · November 22, 2024
We invite you to join us for a panel discussion "European Competitiveness in AI" where we explore how European firms can respond to the transformation brought by AI. As AI reshapes industries and redefines operational efficiency and innovation, European firms are being challenged by American and Asian firms charging ahead. So what can European firms do? What should European policymakers do? With the goal of uncovering actionable insights, this discussion will bring together experts who understand these dynamics from both an academic and executive perspective.
Prof. Philippe Aghion, a renowned economist who has played a pivotal role in shaping France's national AI strategy, will offer his views on how policies can support or hinder competitive advantage. Ana Paula De Jesus Assis, General Manager of EMEA for IBM, will share practical insights into navigating the operational complexities of AI deployment within a global enterprise, balancing agility with compliance, and fostering a digital-first workforce. Carlos Muñoz, co-founder & COO of Alinia AI, will share his experience as expert on AI regulation and as a startup co-founder.
By joining us, you will engage in a dynamic exchange that aims to arm European managers with forward-looking strategies for thriving in an AI-driven global market. This is an invaluable opportunity to discuss challenges, share best practices, and envision a European approach to AI that not only competes but leads on the world stage.
The panel discussion 6:00–7:30pm will be followed by a networking reception from 7:30-8:30pm.
This event is organized by IESE's Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Management Initiative.
