Alejandro Moreno-Salamanca is Senior Lecturer in the Managing People in Organizations Department. For the last five years, he served as Dean of INALDE Business School in Bogotá, Colombia where he also was a professor. He has been a visiting professor in several business schools in Europe and in Latin America for the last 15 years.
He currently serves on different boards of directors for both profit and non-profit organizations in Colombia. Alejandro has managerial experience of more than 25 years in several companies such as AC Nielsen, Andean Bank and Liberty Mutual Group where he was granted a Chairman’s Award in 2005.
Senior Lecturer Moreno-Salamanca is our Alumni. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from IESE Business School, University of Navarra. He is an Executive MBA from INALDE Business School and GLOCOLL from HARVARD Business School. He also holds a CIDENAL diploma from the Superior War School of Colombia, and he is a specialist in Marketing Management and Business Administration from Universidad del Rosario in Colombia.
His current research interests are business purpose and humane leadership, among others. He recently wrote the book: “Hacia un libre mercado humanista” where in dialogue with key figures of the Colombian business world, he develops his own ideas regarding the future of capitalism. Alejandro is a member of the Society for Business Ethics SBE, which awarded him an SBE Founders Award in Boston in 2012.
Senior Lecturer Moreno-Salamanca has been married for more than 20 years to Maria del Pilar. They are the parents of three daughters and one son. As the family institution is important for them, with some other friends, they co-founded FAMOF in 2007, an NGO devoted to family enrichment in several cities in Colombia.
