Marta Villamor Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Entrepreneurship Department at IESE Business School. She holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in International Management from the University of Navarra.
Her research lies at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy, and the philosophy of science. She studies how entrepreneurs form and revise theories of value and how interactions with mentors and investors shape entrepreneurial ideas, triggers learning and influences strategic decision making. Here research has been presented at top international conferences such as Academy of Management and the European Group of Organizational Studies.
Before pursuing her Ph.D., Marta worked as a senior consultant at Management Solutions.
