Phu Nguyen Thien
BIOGRAPHY
Why do organizations exist? If we care to answer this question well, we have a shot at making our work and lives better. This is the focus of Phu’s research and the reason he is pursuing an MRM/PhD at IESE. His research interests include the meaning of work, wellbeing, and business as a force for good. Phu believes that business cannot succeed in a failing society and on a dying planet, and this has tremendous implications for how we conduct our activities.
Phu has lived, studied, and worked in Vietnam, Singapore, India, and the United States. Before joining IESE, he worked with a non-profit organization in Cleveland, Ohio, USA to revitalize neighborhoods and drive economic activities in underserved communities. Phu is passionate about interdisciplinary research, social impact, and travel.
