Winslow Robertson
BIOGRAPHY
Winslow Robertson is a PhD candidate in Managing People in Organizations. His research focuses on the decision-making structure of Chinese provincial State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. As Chinese firms go overseas, how do they behave in comparison to non-Chinese firms, and is there anything unique in the structure of Chinese SOEs that determine that behavior? In particular, do Chinese provincial SOEs behave differently than national ones?
Prior to IESE Business School, Winslow was the founder and managing member of Cowries and Rice, a China-Africa strategic consultancy. He also worked at Morgan Stanley, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Latin American Studies Center. Winslow earned his MA in West African History from Syracuse University and his BA in the same topic from James Madison University.
