Massimo Maoret is a Professor in the Strategic Management Department at IESE Business School, and a European Commission Marie Curie Fellow. He received a Ph.D. in Management from Boston College in 2013.

Massimo’s research focuses on how social networks impact performance, innovation, and societal culture. He is also specialized in the energy sector, with a focus on the green energy transition. His work has appeared in multiple academic journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Academy of Management Discoveries, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. Massimo serves as the Chair of the Academy of Management OMT Research Committee and is part of the Editorial Review Board of Organization Science, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Organization Studies.

At IESE Business School, Massimo teaches courses on Strategy Execution and Organizational Change, Leading the Energy Transition and Strategy and Geopolitics. He also teaches Executive modules on Getting Things Done, and has taught in programs for the Adecco Group, Boehringer Ingelheim, the City of Dubai, DOW Chemical, DSM, ERSTE, the European Broadcasting Union, Faurecia, Hanon Systems, HARMAN, Henkel, Leschaco, Liberty Mutual, Mobily, Shiseido, UNICEF, UPS, WebSummit, and XING. Massimo’s commentaries and opinions have appeared on BBC Radio, La Vanguardia, the Tagesspiegel, Cadena SER, ABC and El Mundo.
