IESE Business Angels Network is a platform that brings together entrepreneurs seeking financing to grow and investors looking for opportunities to invest. It acts as a meeting point for more than 150 individual investors, investment clubs, family offices and large companies, and the startups that are raising capital.
The network’s brings together investors through curated deal flow, high-value networking opportunities, continuous learning, and access to quality startup investment opportunities. Building on this foundation, it is strengthening its role as a leading voice in the ecosystem by promoting investor higher professional standards, more rigorous investment practices, stronger governance frameworks, and a responsible investment culture, while positioning itself as a trusted hub for knowledge, training, and thought leadership for both investors and entrepreneurs.
Since 2003 more than 450 startups have received financing through the network for more than €58 million. While the companies are from highly diverse sectors and business models, all have a vocation to scale up and an ambition to grow.
The Business Angels Network forms part of IESE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem for the development of new ventures, innovation and growth.

The programme helps participants develop the judgement and practical skills of a professional business angel. Through a hands on approach, they learn how to identify investable opportunities, manage the investment process, negotiate effectively, create value from the boardroom and prepare for successful exits.

Each year, AEBAN (the Spanish Association of Business Angels Networks) publishes an independent report analyzing angel investment activity across Spain, including deal volume, average ticket size, sector trends and the performance of leading networks.
IESE Business School contributes data to these reports and is consistently ranked among the most active networks in the country, reflecting the scale and quality of dealflow generated through our Barcelona and Madrid community.

Awards.
The ‘Premios al Capital Privado’ are presented annually by SpainCap, the Spanish Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, to recognize the leading investors, funds and networks driving private capital in Spain.
IESE Business School has served as the awards’ Academic Partner since 2020, reflecting the school’s ongoing role in advancing venture capital and private equity education and research in the country.

Still have a few questions? Common questions from entrepreneurs and investors
Members invest individually or as part of a group, either in a personal capacity or through corporate investment vehicles, with deal sizes varying per round. We aim to bring together as many interested investors as possible, fostering a collaborative co-investment approach.
Startups from healthcare, logistics, technology and other high-growth sectors have received funding, with strong representation in Madrid and Barcelona. We are sector-agnostic and consider opportunities across a wide range of industries; however, real estate assets and other sectors that are not aligned with IESE’s mission are not presented to our investors.
While most funded startups are based in Madrid and Barcelona, the network is open to opportunities across Spain and Europe
No. All investment decisions are taken individually by members; IESE facilitates connections but does not intermediate investments.
