Mert Çetin
BIOGRAPHY
Mert is a PhD candidate in the Production, Technology and Operations Management Department. His primary research interest is retail management. He intends to analyze the changing patterns of network, assortment, and service in retail industry considering the shifting customer behavior and new business strategies regarding omnichannel retailing.
During his undergrad, Mert completed three internships in the areas of production planning, consulting, and airport operations. He conducted a research project on humanitarian logistics. At the same time, he worked as a TA for many courses offered by departments of Mathematics, Computer Science and Industrial Engineering. He also worked in an optimization project for warehouses of a global logistics company in Turkey.
