Juan Pablo Filippini
BIOGRAPHY
Juan Pablo Filippini is a PhD candidate in the Financial Management Department. With a strong academic foundation in economics, including both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, his career journey has encompassed seven years in the banking sector, including a stint as a consultant for the World Bank.
Filippini’s enduring passion for teaching has led him to serve as a visiting professor at UADE and UPF, instructing in macroeconomics, econometrics, and international economics. Before embarking on his academic path as a PhD candidate at IESE Business School, he worked as an RA under the guidance of Professor Carles Vergara, now his current Dissertation Director.
His research interests center on the Financial Economics of Climate and Sustainability, Green Energy Transition and Urban Economics. Filippini aspires to secure a tenured position at a prestigious university in the next decade, engaging actively in both research and teaching.
